Crusader Rabbit was the first ever animated series made for television. Its first episode premiered in 1950 and, for many children of the 50s, it was a defining part of their childhood. My mother cites it as her favorite show to this day.
But if Crusader Rabbit isn’t a household name today, he still paved the way for almost every other character on this list including countless others and that’s pretty darn badass.
