GI Joe is one of the many retro cartoon series and brands to be brought back to life in the modern day via a high budget special effects packed theatrical released live action movie. GI Joe was reborn in 2009 in “GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra.”
For those of you who remember the cartoon series and saw the movie you already know aside from a few character names and the title being GI Joe the movie had little to do with the original source. Because of this anyone looking to be a GI Joe for Halloween has no shortage of costume options on Amazon.com, but all the costumes are fashioned after the 2009 movie release.
Nevertheless, it is still good to see a classic cartoon like this gaining renewed interest by today’s youth. They make costumes for adults too so even if you just want to relive your childhood in a modern way you can.
