All spring, we’ll be featuring badass bunnies from the world of toys, action figures, TV, cartoons, and video games. See the whole series here.
With his relentless pursuit of hard-hitting questions such as, what’s up Doc? and his inability to get anywhere without remembering to take that left turn at Albuquerque, Bugs Bunny is one of the most popular fictional bunnies in history.
As if starring in hundreds of cartoons and comic books wasn’t enough, Bugs Bunny has also played basketball alongside Michael Jordan in Space Jam, starred in a remake of Casablanca (called Carrotblanca), and worked as a teacher at Acme Looniversity in Tiny Toons.
But what makes him bad ass and not just a wise ass? He’s thwarted villains of all shapes and sizes (from the giant from Jack and the Beanstalk to the tiniest pests), including his archrival, Daffy Duck, and his incompetent nemesis Elmer Fudd.
Not to mention, anyone who finds himself staring down a double barrel rifle and whose reaction is to stick their fingers in it has to be pretty hard-core.
