Very sad! Hope they can work this out somehow! The MLP TP is one of the first My Little Pony sites I used back on dial up in the early 90s
(Yeah, I'm old. What of it? ;-))

Attention Trading Post members:It is with a very heavy heart that the time has come for me to make a formal announcement of which you all should be aware. As many of you know, the owner of the Trading Post has been away from the community for many years, and in the meantime the mods have done the best we can to keep everything going as smoothly and happily as possible in this community we consider our long-time pony home. However, I received word from the site owner at the end of March of this year that they will no longer be paying to host and upkeep the site.I have made the most generous offer I can realistically afford to purchase the site and lead as your official admin and forum owner, but as of today I have not received a response since mid May.I don't know what will happen, only that I have done everything in my power to preserve this place and keep it alive as long as possible. On June 12th, the Trading Post will no longer be paid for, and I don't know what will happen next. It truly breaks my heart. It's possible my offer will be accepted within the next 2 days and I will be able to fully reinstate the hosting payments and begin the task of updating the entire site, but since a response has been nearly another month in coming and has not yet arrived, I feel it is my responsibility to make you all aware of the situation with at least some notice. Please take this opportunity to make sure that anything you have saved in your galleries, your feedback, screencaps of your favorite threads, and anything else that may be of value to you is saved on your own computer. I have arranged for a full static capture of the site as it is, so it will be available as an archive in the near future if necessary. As I said, unless I can gain ownership and reinstate the payments, I do not know what will happen to the usability of the site as it is.The Trading Post has been my online pony home since 2001, and I have treasured my involvement here and the many friendships I've made. Many of you are like family to me. I am ready to give all I can to see this community bounce back and thrive, and I will do my best to ensure that whatever happens, our community will somehow remain intact. These past few months have weighed heavily on my mind and my heart in terms of the future here, and I hope beyond anything else that I will have better news for you all before June 12th.Jewel MLPTP active admin***UPDATE***I apologize in advance for what seems like conflicting information, but I'm relaying it now as it comes to me and I know it's a bit confusing and tiresome to keep up with. Please bear with me.But a few hours after posting this notice, I received an email back from the site owner that the delay in their response was unavoidable, and that we are safe for another month. And if all goes to plan, I will have the TP under my wings by then. Our negotiations have continued. So don't lose hope yet, just be prepared for changes in one way or another. I don't want to sway too far in the direction of either alternative, but there's no reason not to hold onto a little bit of optimism at this point. Again I'm very sorry to anyone else who's been strapped into this rollercoaster ride with me, I'll let you all know what I know when I know it ♥
