Time magazine released an article showcasing their selections of the 100 greatest toys. The aptly named article,  “All-TIME 100 Greatest Toys”, features the most popular and influential toys of the 1920s up to present day.

The article can be found at Time.com and breaks down the list by decade. Each toy mentioned has the origin and description of the toy and the cultural impact it had or still has. There are too many toys to mention, but amongst my favorites are the stuffed Mickey Mouse, View-Master, Little Golden Books, Slinky, Magic 8 Ball, Legos, Silly Putty, Fisher-Price Little People, Colorforms, Mr. Potato Head, Gumby, Play-Doh, Tonka Truck, Barbie, Etch A Sketch, G.I. Joe, Creepy Crawlers, Lite-Brite, Hot Wheels, NERF, Paddington Bear, Shrinky Dinks, Stretch Armstrong, Star Wars Action Figure, Speak & Spell, Star Trek, Cabbage Patch Kids, Slap Bracelet, He-man Masters of the Universe Action Figure, Glo Worm, Care Bear, My Little Pony, Transformers, Teddy Ruxpin, Pound Puppy, Koosh Ball, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Super Soaker, and Buzz Lightyear.
