The Care Bears have a new holiday movie called “Care Bears: Giving Festival Movie” which is currently in stores now.
Though past specials have had the Care Bears specifically celebrating Christmas, this special focuses on a Giving Festival which is much more inclusive of all fans regardless of their religion. If the cover is any indication, they did a great job of decorating Care-a-Lot for the holidays. (But when did their little star friend become a Super Saiyan?)
This movie features the Care Bears in CGI which is never my favorite choice of animation for classic cartoons, but CGI or not it is good to see classic characters like the Care Bears still maintaining their popularity and relevance.
I’m not sure how old time fans of the show would enjoy a modern day effort like this, but I am sure this would make a great gift for little ones this holiday season.
