I cam across a fun list posted on Defamer.gawker.com talking about what old cartoon series they’d like to see made into live action films in the modern day. The article was inspired by the many recent live adaptations to come out of classic kids shows such as Transformers, G.I. Joe,Garfield, The Chipmunks, and soon to come The Smurfs. The site offers what shows they feel should be made into live actions movies; such as Jem and the Holograms, Pirates of Dark Water, Lupin the Third, Powerpuff Girls, He-Man and She-Ra, and Samurai Jack. Some of these have little chance of ever reentering into pop culture relevance again, but some would make great movies. Check out the site here.
